Photoshop practice: colour rendering a sketch

Initial sketch is of the cascading ponds at Gloucester services with perennials, marginal grasses, and small shrubs.

Tried out a number of techniques in photoshop to generate the various textures and lighting effects.

When learning more about the task I instantly regretted my path choice as I spent too long mentally calculating the path meanders from viewpoints and less time honing a sketch. The Route...
