Quick bucket skills exercise

Image
I found this task very informative as a Photoshop novice. The slides from the lecture are a great resource for learning about bucket filling when trying to navigate the labyrinth that is Adobe Photoshop.

Analysing advertiments

Image
FUJIFILM advert from the back cover of Stuff magazine 277 Christmas 2021. When I view the advert my eyes are first drawn to the rainbow of colour in the centre of the lens marked by the asterisk. The vertical centre line is down the pouring colours, the horizontal line was harder to decipher. It is certainly between the camera body and the photo of the elephant. I placed it between the 2 lines of the advert title "Masters of Colour".                                                   Here is the path my eyes take when viewing the advert. I go from the centre of the lens very quickly to where it splashes against the photo. I then quickly scan the writing. My eyes are then drawn to the logo at the top left then I take a good look at the camera body and then the photo of the elephant. I finally notice the website link at the bottom left of the page. Navigating from A to B

Image
An exercise in quick sketching. When learning more about the task I instantly regretted my path choice as I spent too long mentally calculating the path meanders from viewpoints and less time honing a sketch. The Route... View from A down path and view inside the first feature, a well. View of the path having scaled the well wall, and view from inside the second feature, The Egg Hedge. Having crawled through the egg hedge, you're back on the path only to catch a view of the largest chair ever made. Lord knows how they managed to sit up there! We've done it. We've made it to B. Hugo's been hovering above in his balloon. You've made it into his basket and ascended again. Let us see this wacko route in its entirety. Wow, what a crazy ride. I think I need a lie-down.

Favourites list and creativity test

Image
The first names that came to my head when working through this list. I noticed a gap after uploading. Industrial or product designer - Jonathan Ive Creativity score of 52.3 from  http://www.testmycreativity.com/. . I have to admit I was a bit disappointed by this score. I do doubt myself quite often so should have slid the scale a bit further from the center and had more confidence in my answers. I was happy with 12 uses for a brick in 1 minute though :)
